FAQ

What can I expect during my first session?

In the first session, we’ll discuss your goals, current challenges, and any relevant history. This is also a time for you to ask questions and get to know how we work together. It’s a relaxed, non-judgmental space to begin your journey toward healing.

How long are therapy sessions, and how often will we meet?

Sessions typically last 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs, but we often begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions and adjust as needed.

Do you offer online or remote counselling?

Yes! I offer secure online counselling sessions, making it easy for you to receive support from the comfort of your home. You will need a private space and a device with a camera and microphone.

What should I do if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This helps me offer your spot to someone else and avoid a cancellation fee.

Is what we talk about in therapy confidential?

Yes, confidentiality is a key part of therapy. I will not share your personal information without your consent, except in specific cases outlined in my privacy policy (e.g., if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others).

How do I know if I am making progress in therapy?

Progress can look different for everyone. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and any changes you’ve noticed in your feelings, behaviors, or relationships. It’s a collaborative process, and we’ll adjust as needed to ensure you’re moving forward.
